Our history
It began as TECNOBRAS
Granbell was called TECNOBRAS and was initially a small British company that managed programmers in banking and financial-sector systems for small banks.
A solid block of STEM talent
Two of the three major players in the world, who led another bank consortium for credit/debit card processing integration, left that company and joined Grid Internetwork Bank Services (GBS), which now had a solid block of highly qualified and excellent STEM personnel.
Digital banks for social development
Since 2008, the prolonged crisis in Europe and its impact on people’s lives have made the GBS mandate, to develop enabling digital banks that help social development, more relevant than ever.
The GBS Consortium is established
The oldest multilateral developing joint venture, the Grid Internetwork Bank Services Consortium (GBS), was established on 18 September 2017. From eight small banks it quickly became a 48-member block, including a member of the world’s TOP 100 banks and finance and management companies, and received input from more than 20 technology partners and non-member banks. GBS has become a leader in the development of blockchain technology applied to the encryption of financial interbank messages.
Blockchain meets Open Finance
The group developed a new blockchain technology that applied an interface between the banks’ APIs and Open Finance. This was the beginning of a new era for GBS, which culminated in the application of its technology to large banks in the sector.
Granbell Financial Services
The company ceased to be a consortium of companies and became a single company. All the specialists, a group of edge professionals and scientists, became part of the new company, GRANBELL FINANCIAL SERVICES, and put into production the most advanced post-quantum network, with quantum cryptography and a private blockchain, running in the most advanced private network in the world.
Granbell International Ltd
We created GRANBELL INTERNATIONAL LTD with the mission to handle the international market and provide worldwide access to our range of services. This company will have offices in every country that requires access to the QDFS network: a huge step in Granbell’s life.
The world’s TOP 100 banks
We hope that by 2027 all of the world’s TOP 100 banks will have adopted our new security standard.
